When the ready to flash indicator sounds, press the flash button and repeat this action. Make sure you overlap the treated areas slightly.

For each flash, an area of 6 cm2 is targeted (3cm x 2cm), up to 220 hairs.

During this flash, you will normally feel a sensation of warmth and tingling. When treating more sensitive areas, this sensation may be similar to a warm rubber band being snapped against the skin.

Process

VISS IPL uses the innovative Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to remove unwanted hair through a process called selective photothermolysis. When directed at the site of unwanted hair, the light is absorbed by dark pigment of the hair, disabling the follicle with minimal discomfort.

The length of time for each session can vary from a few minutes to and hour or more depending on the size of the area. With continued use, you should see less hair re-growth. The hair that does return should become progressively lighter and finer.VISS IPL is simple to use, allowing you to select one of eight levels of intensity. When applied to skin, VISS IPL emits a short pulse of light, through an output window targeting up to 220 hair follicles in 3.5 second long intervals. In addition to effective hair removal, safety is at the heart of VISS IPL’s design. This revolutionary device has been designed with a contact sensor to safeguard against misuse, and will not emit a pulse of light unless the skin sensor in contact with the skin. VISS IPL also doesn’t require batteries or charging, so there is no downtime between treatments. It’s compact size allows for easy handling as well as easy storage. Note: Hair grows in cycles, so not every hair can be treated at the same time. That's why it's recommend that, during the first 3 months, treatment is performed every 2 weeks. After that, treat just once every month until your last treatment.

Before

Before using the VISS device you should read the entire manual very carefully. The treatment area must be clean and clear from any cosmetic product.

Depending on your routine hair removal method, it may be necessary to wait a short while prior to using VISS IPL. If your recent hair removal method was:

Razor:

You can use the VISS IPL straight away.

Hair removal cream:

It is recommended to use the VISS IPL 1 week after your last depilation cream treatment.

Waxing, thermal hair removal system, tweezers:

It is recommended to use the VISS IPL 3 weeks after your last treatment.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser technologies:

You can use VISS IPL only after hair re-growth has become mature.

Laser Hair Removal

VISS IPL uses the innovative IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology for hair removal.

There are two big differences between Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) systems. One is in the area that can be treated in one go and the treatment speed. Generally IPL treatment heads are up to 6 times larger than the small spot produced by lasers and therefore treatments are much quicker.

The other difference is the wavelength of light produced. Lasers produce light with one specific wavelength whilst IPL uses an entire waveband. Different wavelengths penetrate the skin to different depths so using IPL is like using a group of lasers in a single treatment.

In summary, the efficacy of IPL and laser hair removal is now generally accepted in the dermatology community, however IPL methods have been shown to provide faster results and cause less pain while showing equivalent or better efficacy to laser systems.
